leading news stories of the day. Each article gives a summary of the news, and includes questions to ponder and links to other reliable sources. |
From the New York Times, a curated collection of world news with lesson plans, writing prompts, visual literacy activities and so much more. All students can view the site, but they must be 13 or older to use the comments.

Newsela provides leveled news articles and informational text from sources such as the Washington Post. Teachers must register their classes to allow students to read assigned articles and take quizzes.
